To emphasize some key components of the requirement . . .

• Each licensed mortgage broker must be covered by an individual E&O policy. If you are covered by your company's policy, that does not meet the state requirements. Your policy must be specifically in your name - not in the name of a company (even if you are employed by or the owner of that company.)
  
  
• The E&O insurance policy must provide the coverages specifically addressed by part 9 of article 61 of title 12. It is the responsibility of the licensed mortgage broker to be sure the policy provides the required coverage. Although there may be many policies in the marketplace, we are confident that our policy is in compliance with the state requirements as we have designed a brand new policy that is custom-fit for the statute.
