ICC Broker Bond

ICC broker bonds (which can also be called freight bonds, BMC-84 bonds, and property brokers surety bonds) are required in order for someone to operate as a transportation broker. These bonds are required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

The bond penalty required for these bonds is $10,000 nationwide.

These bonds are electronically filed, so the principal does not receive a paper copy of the bond. ICC broker bonds are federally required.
